The World Culture Centre - a cultural center in Copenhagen with a special focus on ethnic minorities.

The World Culture Centre provides a creative platform for various cultural, social and political activities. In close collaboration with the ethnic cultural life of Copenhagen, we host and organize cultural events such as multicultural festivals, lectures, art-exhibitions, concerts, debates, screenings and conferences.

Verdens Sirener (Sirens of the World) is a cross-cultural women’s choir with women from a wide range of countries, living in Denmark.

Through the common language of music and through singing on the members’ different native languages a cultural exchange is taking place. It is reflected in the diversity of the choir and their repertoire of songs. Verdens Sirener performs in various cultural contexts and has been doing so since the International Women’s day on March 8, 2010.

The choir provides a social venue for women across nationalities and backgrounds, and helps ensure a base for the women to create a network in Denmark.

The choir is rehearsing every Tuesday eveningfrom 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. in the World Culture Centre, Nørre Allé 7, 2200 Nørrebro.
