KSF has the mission to offer players of all ages the best possibilities to have fun with and around icehockey, being challenged at their level and develop as part of a club where all members do their best, respect each other and contribute where they can.
KSF offers an intro program for new players, where they learn the basic skating and ice-hockey skills on an intro team with two weekly training sessions, Friday 17.30-18.15 and Sunday 9.30-10.15. New players can start throughout the season (mid-August to end-April) and just show up in good time for one of the intro team practice-sessions to register. KSF offer a one month free trial-period incl. the possibility to borrow equipment (and after this the possibility to rent equipment at a very fair rate). As soon as the players are ready, they are moved to the relevant match team (U7, U9, U11, etc.).
KSF is Denmarks oldest icehockey club with a long and proud history since the foundation in 1869. The club currently has its base in the only ice-rink in Copenhagen, a temporary rink located at Østerbro. The club consist of a youth department with approx. 175 members in the ages between 4 – 15 years and a senior department (>18 years) with approx. 125 members. During season the teams in the youth department have 2-4 weekly training sessions and play matches and tournaments (primarily during week-ends). During off-season/summer period the teams meet for 1-2 weekly off-ice sessions (summer holiday in July).
