About the Expat Fair

Denmark is a country full of clubs and associations and the Expat Fair is a great opportunity for new international citizens to discover and learn more about all the various opportunities to do sports and other activities in their spare time. The clubs are where the Danes meet and provide great networking opportunities for all families.

The Expat Fair is hosted by Copenhagen Municipality and takes place at Copenhagen City Hall. It is organized by CPH International Service and Spousecare and sponsored by Danske Bank.

In my daily work, I meet with people from all over the world and it is a true privilege. I believe that it is important that we, as a large international company, support the international community in Denmark. Therefore it is completely natural for us to be sponsor of the Expat Fair 2014.Henrik Skov Nielsen, Head of International Private Clients, Danske Bank.

“At the International House we welcome more than a thousand people from all over the world every month, and every year we look forward to welcoming the newcomers here at the City Hall as well. We know how important it is to build a new network when moving to a new country. Leisure activities such as joining a sports club or doing volunteer work are a great way to do just that. The Expat Fair presents some of the many interesting clubs and associations in Copenhagen, and we hope to give the new citizens an inspiring, informative and fun afternoon.” Thomas Jakobsen, Director, Culture and Leisure Administration.

“This is our fifth year helping to organise the Expat Fair, and every year it’s been a great pleasure to experience the enthusiasm for an interest to the fair. Our idea behind the fair was to simply “build a bridge” between expats and Danes based on the assumption that when you share a common interest, cultural differences and language barriers are no longer important.” Anette Pilmark, Founder of Spousecare.
